At this stage, it’s looking like I’m going to be a team of one for FebFast… The idea of FebFast is that you go without alcoholic drinks for the month of February, and you pay a fee to join the FebFast challenge. The money raised goes to four organisations, Rainbow Youth, Evolve, CareNZ, and the ADHD Association, all of whom work with young people who are at risk of abusing alcohol. And by participating in and supporting the campaign, you help to raise awareness of these organisations and the work that they do.
There’s still time to take on FebFast if it’s something that would suit you. Check my earlier post for the story behind FebFast, and for links to the team I have set up. Even if you don’t want to do FebFast yourself, for whatever reason, you might care to make a donation, or alternatively, you could make a donation direct to one of the organisations.
I’m looking forward to doing FebFast, so much so that I haven’t had a drink, or to be more precise, any alcoholic drinks, since Sunday. So I’m two days ahead on FebFast. Just 29 alcohol free days to go.
